Great Wolf Lodge

Chain · Indoor water-park resorts in the United States and Canada (Niagara Falls)

Promoted as an allergy leader with gluten-free fryers, but reader experiences vary a lot by location; the most positive report on gluten came from Wisconsin Dells.

Always confirm with the hotel before booking and again when you arrive. Kitchens, chefs and menus change. Reports below are individual experiences, not guarantees and not medical advice.

The chain says pancakes and waffles are made from scratch so allergy versions can be cooked, and individually packaged products are kept for allergy guests. One celiac reader saw an omelette cook using the same tools for her GF omelette.

🍽️ On-site restaurants

According to the chain (2016 interview): all fryers are gluten-free, the chef or sous-chef personally cooks and delivers allergy meals with purple allergy utensils, and Udi's rolls and packaged GF pasta are stocked.

What public traveller reports say

Summarized in our own words from public sources we read (October 2026). Each point is one or a few travellers' experience, not a statistic.

positive · restaurants
In a 2016 AllergyEats interview, the chain's food and beverage director said fryers are dedicated gluten-free (breading uses rice or chickpea flour) and only the chef or sous-chef handles an allergy meal until it reaches the guest. A Wisconsin Dells reader later confirmed the fryers are dedicated GF.
negative · breakfast and restaurants
Reader comments are mixed: a celiac at Grapevine, Texas found a macaroni noodle in her risotto and never got to talk to a chef; a celiac child found regular pasta in GF pasta at Fitchburg, Massachusetts; a Williamsburg visitor was never told about the GF fryer.
